On July 16, 2022, X3M Ideas launched its first-ever Idea Hackathon – a challenge where individuals or teams identify real-world problems in the marketing communications industry and come up with scalable ideas/solutions to address them.
The Hackathon will consist of three different stages. Initially, participants will apply for the hackathon on the X3M Ideas Hackathon website where they will be asked to share a synopsis of the problem identified and the proposed solution.
20 participants will then be pre-selected and invited to prepare a dossier containing the idea and the proposed solution to be submitted no later than July 29 for a physical presentation to the panelists on Sunday July 31.
During the final phase, the finalists will pitch their scalable solutions to identified panelists.

Meet the 5 marketing and communication experts who will be panelists at the Idea Hackathon:
Idy Enang, CEO of Corporate Shepherds Limited
With over 28 years of experience in the marketing industry, Idorenyen Enang is currently the CEO of Corporate Shepherds Limited, a capacity building and business advisory firm based in Nigeria. He held various key positions across Africa as Brand Director of Guinness, a subsidiary of Diageo, before becoming National Marketing Director for Coca-Cola in Kenya, Chief of Staff to the President of Equatorial Africa, then business promotion. in the Eastern and Central Region as Managing Director before transitioning Cadbury’s turnaround from near coma to profitability as Commercial Director.
Charged with responsibility for the growth, development and profitability of the Samsung brand in Nigeria, Idy served as Managing Director of Samsung Nigeria and, until recently, Managing Director of L’Oreal Central West Africa. , where he led the beauty giant’s two subsidiaries across West Africa.
Apart from being a business tycoon, Idy has also served as President of the Advertisers Association of Nigeria, former Chairman of the Advertising Industry Chiefs Group; and former board member of APCON (Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria), which regulates the practice of advertising in Nigeria.
Chuka Obi, Director of Creativity and Innovations Globacomms
Chuka is currently Director of Creativity and Innovations at telecommunications giant Globacom. He previously served as creative director of Insight Publicis.
With a decade of knowledge and expertise in areas such as writing, art direction, illustration, and music and sound design across several major brands. In 2018, Chuka pursued a career in advertising where he was a comic book writer and illustrator and graffiti artist.
Over the years he has worked extensively on building brands such as MTN, Fidelity Bank, Mouka, Knorr, Royco, Lipton, Guinness, Malta Guinness, GTAssur/AXA Mansard, Wrigley’s, Oando, P&G, Interswitch, Verve, Quickteller , Golden Penny, Wakanow. , Johnnie Walker, Pepsi, Star, Heineken, Maggi and many more.
Remarkably, he wrote the famous copy of MTN Saka “I Don Port” when he was at DDB Lagos as Creative Director. He has also worked on other award-winning advertising works and campaigns for MTN Nigeria, Unilever, Fidelity Bank, FCMB, P&G, McVitie’s, Wrigleys and others.
Norah Ikoh, Head of CX Operations at Kuda Microfinance Bank
Nora is an experienced customer specialist. She is currently Head of CX Operations at Kuda Microfinance Bank, one of the fastest growing microfinance banks in Africa.
She previously worked at GTBank as Content Strategy & Marketer, Senior Online Marketing Manager at Pulse NG. With expertise in the field of customer service and customer management, Norah is your go-to person for all things customer relationship.
She is currently pursuing a Masters degree at the University of Nexford.
Ayodeji Ajayi, Managing Director of Media100

Panelists will be responsible for selecting the hackathon winner based on the individual or team with the most scalable solution. The final participants would be asked to present their solutions to the panelists.
