Usually hidden in alleys or on passing trains, the art of graffiti was celebrated among the general public this week.
Community Arts of Antyx and Springboard Performance organized a wall display for young people at the pop-up arts and culture center, ContainR Art Park at Sunnyside.
The event marked the conclusion of a two-week online and in-person mural camp that ran July 12-23. Young artists and bloggers submitted entries and creative samples and were then selected by Antyx Arts & Springboard Performance
Young people spent their time learning, designing and blogging through the creation of three graffiti Art murals that are featured on the sides of large shipping containers at ContainR Art Park in Sunnyside.
